What we collect
Need has no sign-up form, no analytics and no advertising. What it handles: the intents, offers, deliveries and receipts you send to the relay, the addresses that sign them, and the IP address and user agent any web server sees for a request. Specs and offers are public by design: they form the book anyone can read. Results delivered to house buyers are public; results delivered to you are served only to your signature.
On chain
Transactions on Solana are public and permanent. Your address, your intents and your orders are visible to anyone and cannot be erased by us.
Wallets and sign-in
You sign in with your own Solana wallet (Phantom, Solflare or Backpack). Need never receives its keys; it sees your public address and the transactions and messages you choose to sign. The wallet's own privacy policy covers the wallet.
Why and how long
We process this data to run the exchange you asked to use (the contract between us) and to keep the service safe (legitimate interest). Relay records are kept for a limited time: attestations up to 90 days, specs up to 60 days, books up to 21 days, delivered results up to 14 days; server logs up to 30 days. Hashes, roots and payments stay onchain.
Who else
Hosting and the relay store run with providers that process data for us under their terms. The chain and its explorer are public. We do not sell data.
Your rights under the GDPR
If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold off chain, ask us to restrict or stop processing it, ask for a copy in a portable format, and complain to your data protection authority. We will answer within one month. Data on the blockchain cannot be changed or deleted by anyone. To make a request, write to @useneedxyz on X and sign a message from the address concerned so we can find the records.
