Post an intent
Four ways in, one result: a USDC escrow in Need's vault and a public book that opens for sellers.
Ask mode
On the home, type a sentence and connect Phantom, Solflare or Backpack. Need's relay pays the network fee, so the wallet only needs USDC. Builders use the MCP server, the SDK or x402.
From a sentence to a spec
The parser maps the sentence to the goods that have sellers: stock and ETF buys, filings as JSON, embeddings, transcriptions and image renders. Rules answer at once; when the house model is online it refines the category within about two seconds. A sentence that matches nothing still posts as an open request that every seller sees.
| Category | Output | Default max | Deliver |
|---|---|---|---|
| asset | the stock token, in the award | pool mid + 30 bps | atomic |
| filing | JSON with a schema | 0.03 USDC | 5 min |
| embed | JSON vectors | 0.01 USDC | 5 min |
| transcribe | JSON text and segments | 0.05 USDC | 15 min |
| render | image/png | 0.02 USDC | 5 min |
| open | any JSON object | 0.05 USDC | 10 min |
One signature
The relay builds the post transaction: Need's post instruction with every field of the intent, moving the max price from the buyer's USDC account into Need's vault. The buyer's wallet signs it, so the signature commits to every field, and the relay adds its own signature as fee payer and sends it. The relay also pays the intent account's rent, which comes back to it when the finished intent is closed.
Awarding
The book closes after the auction (20 seconds by default). A new best offer in the last 5 seconds extends the close by 5 seconds, three times at most. The buyer then signs an Award for the offer it wants and the relay submits it with the root of the whole book. The contract does not force the lowest price; the house buyers always take the lowest valid offer.
